Help/ Advice

I need some advice... About a week and a half ago after giving Emily a bath she broke out in this nasty rash. When it didn't get better after two days I took her to the doctor. They were no help at all. After reading a few things online I decided to eliminated all scented soaps and lotions, change our laundry detergent. And I proceeded to covered her in A&D Ointment, and Aquaphor creame. The rash started clearing up and was just about gone so I gave her another bath yesterday ( I waited more then a week between baths) and she broke out again. I used the Aquaphor bath soap and bathed her with room temperature water for a short period of time and none of it mattered. She is not a happy baby with this rash, she is definitely uncomfortable. I really need some advice because the doctors did not help at all. (Please; any advice will be appreciated) In addition to the rash she also has craddle cap... advice for that would be nice as well.

I know after reading this the correct assumption is to not give her a bath... That is not possible; her hygiene still needs to be maintained.

Thank you!

POOL TIME :0)

This may seem a little white trash to some people, including myself. However I do not regret it and will probably do it several more times over the course of the summer. Do to the fact that Emily is to small to go into the big pool at our apartments I decided that James still needed some sort of outlet. I went to Walmart and bought this $5.00 blow-up pool and set it up outside in the grassy area of our apartment complex. Him and his little friend had a blast playing in it.

ps. sorry the pictures are bad... I had my camera on the night setting (Oops!)

One Month Old

Emily is now One month old. I can't even believe how fast time is flying by. Emily is such a wonderful baby. She is a very calm, but gets a little upset when I set her down. I am not sure if it 's because she really loves it when I hold her, or if she is scared that her big brother will get her if I set her down.

So far her mile stones at one month are:
  • She has a really strong neck and likes to lift her head up and look around
  • She sleeps about 4 hour streches at night time
  • She loves to eat (She kind of humms when she is eating)
  • She his starting to smile at little
Other then those few things she eats, sleeps and poops a lot!
We absolutley love the newest addition to our family and enjoy every moment of her in our lives.

(We love you Emily!!!)

Easter

Easter was a lot of fun this year since James was old enough to enjoy it. This is him dying the eggs. He loved this activity; he must have dyed each egg about 10 times. When all was said and done we didn't have any eatable eggs. They were all very cracked and looked pretty ugly.
(Sorry James!)

I took these pictures Easter morning... I was trying to get the studio affect with my Non- studio camera. I still think they turned out okay.

These pictures were taken Easter morning. between two sets of grandparents, and Mom & Dad I would have to say that Easter ended up being a little more like Christmas when it came to the gifts. He got a ball, sidewalk chalk, cloths, a swim suite, sand toys, bubbles, and lots of candy. As you can see James really loved the candy part. He rarely gets sweets so this was a true privilege for him.

Two Of A Kind

I just wanted to post these two pictures to show how James and Emily look a like. It is really hard to look back at pictures of James and then look at him now. He has grown up so much. As I am taking care of Emily, I feel like I just did this with James. How fast time goes! soon I am going to look at a picture of Emily and think the same thing.

HOME SWEET HOME!!!

It's nice to be home... As you can see, house cleaning has been a little difficult during this transitional period; hopefully my Super Mom power will kick in before I go crazy with clutter.

This mess was actually photographed a few days ago... It has gotten a little better since.

Other then trying to maintain some sort of order in our small apartment, things are actually going very well. James LOVES Emily. He always wants to hold her... He likes it when she grabs his finger, or when he puts his finger in her mouth and she sucks on it. He wants to give her kisses constantly. After every time he gives her a kiss he sighs "Ohhh! cute" it is so precious watching him interact with her.

Her are two stories that have happened in the last few days.
#1.
James accidentally ran into the baby swing when Emily was in it (He didn't know she was in it) When he bumped it he made her cry... He then started crying and saying sorry because he felt bad that he made her cry. He then smothered her in tuns of kisses to make it all better.

#2.
We were at the park yesterday and one of his little friends wanted to look at the baby. I got down on my knees and started to show his friend, and he pushed his friend out of the way and said "My Emmy". Apparently he is a little protective of his baby sister.

We are having so much fun as a family of Four, and can't wait to create more memories as time goes on. Ryan and I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped us as we adjust to life with another kid. We thank you and love you!

These are pictures that we took since being home... I just wanted to point out the picture of James holding a piece to my breast pump... He was trying to make " Mommy milk" apparently how Emily eats is really fascinating.
